Kay Parkes-Blanc

Kay Parkes-Blanc (she/her) was born in Mississauga, Ontario, and raised in Ottawa, where her early years were shaped by a deep appreciation for community and connection. She went on to complete an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences at Carleton University and a Diploma in Business at Algonquin College.
Professionally, Kay has worked in national non-profits, associations, and consulting, focusing on communications, partnership development, and community engagement. She has led strategic communications for initiatives that bring together government, industry, and grassroots organizations to create programs, events, and resources that drive meaningful impact.
With a strong belief in inspiring, informing and educating, Kay believes in the power of collaboration and narratives to break down barriers in housing, mental health, workforce development and many others! She is especially passionate about empowering underrepresented communities and fostering opportunities for young people to thrive.
Outside of work, Kay enjoys trying new restaurants, attending local farmers markets, and baking/cooking new dishes.

Diana-Elena Bota

Diana-Elena Bota is set to graduate in Spring 2026 with an Honours Bachelor in Communication and Media Studies, with double minors in Film and Digital Humanities from Carleton University.Originally from Kitchener, Diana has found her purpose in Ottawa sharing her expertise as
a Media and Communication Volunteer with Youth Action, which she joined in fall 2024.In her free time, she enjoys scrap booking, collecting VHS tapes and rereading 2010s dystopian series or bingeing their motion picture adaptations!

Taya Lansanah

Taya is a bilingual young professional with experience in recruitment, communications, and youth advocacy. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Political Science. She has also served as an executive in student-led associations during her studies, promoting inclusivity, bilingualism and student engagement.She brings a blend of strategic thinking, communication skills, and creativity to the table, which are all grounded in a deep passion for empowering the youth and fostering fair and inclusive spaces.
