Celebrating 6 Years of Youth Power

Youth Action Now was rooted in the belief that young people are not just the future but that they hold power in the present. YAN was made to support youth in our community who were advocating for a better world. Over six years in the Ottawa and Gatineau region, we supported youth-led grassroots initiatives through funding, mentorship, and community connection, guided by values of trust, care, and collective leadership. As we close after six meaningful years, we are proud to see YAN's impact now lives on through the youth leaders, relationships, and initiatives that continue beyond the organization.

Youth Action Now supported 731 youth leaders across the Ottawa and Gatineau region, funding 135 youth-led initiatives that advocated for a better future through artistic expression, community building, learning and career connections, issue-based advocacy, and health and policy wellness. Over six years, we dispersed $170,780 directly to grassroots groups, whose work went on to reach more than 20,000 people through care-driven, youth-powered action.
